When it comes to Litho printing, popular for high-volume runs, we’re famous for our expertise and high standards, not to mention our comprehensive range of papers, Pantones & metallics.< Back to Print
All our litho printing is produced to specific industry colour standards. We use leading technology such as Impress Control on the B2 XL Heidelberg press – so you can rely on consistent results every time.
Impress Control scans colour bars on the printed sheets inline and feeds back, keeping colour control tight and within tolerance of the target.
Inline Aqueous Coating
Inline coating with litho printing allows for quicker turnaround on coated papers as the inks are sealed with an aqueous coating. This, combined with infrared dryers and hot & cold air blowers, can allow sheets to be finished on the same day for some applications. Additionally, the coating gives a uniform finish to the printed sheets and protects the ink from rubbing.
Metallic Pantone Inks
Metallic inks are available not just in silver and gold, but a full spectrum of colours. You’ll find these inks provide more shine on coated papers, so we recommend trialling Pantone metallic coated and uncoated swatches so you can see how the ink performs on your paper of choice.
Spot colours can achieve increased vibrancy to CMYK. Use Color Bridge Pantone swatches to view the closest match to a Pantone ink colour – you may be surprised at the breadth of shades can be achieved using the CMYK mix. Please contact us for further information or assistance with this.
15,000 Sheets Per Hour
Top speed printing at an impressive 15,000 sheets per hour is the reason litho is the preferred choice for higher volume runs. The preparation time may be longer for litho compared to digital, however, once the press is up-and-running, the speed benefits really come into play.
Thick substrates up to 600 micron
Litho allows for printing on slightly thicker materials than what’s possible with digital print, making it ideal for folding carton applications and larger boxes.
