We love foiling. It’s a skill we’ve honed over the years, and we’re proud of our attention-to-detail and the results we achieve with it. But something’s always jarred a little for us, and that’s the unavoidable leftover waste and how to dispose of it.

So we are over-the-moon that the fantastic people over at Foilco have not only launched a scheme to help us dispose of it, but have discovered a genius way convert it into sustainable energy…

Now we’ve signed up to the certified ZeroFoil2Landfill scheme, sponsored by the British Printing Industries Federation, we’ve received our handy box which we can place all our leftover foil debris into. This will be collected, bailed into small cubes, then shredded into extra fine shavings and used as fuel to create sustainable energy. Amazing.

It’s great to see the overall print industry taking significant steps to reduce its impact on the planet – not only this new scheme from Foilco, who are the first foil company to be certified as ZeroFoil2Landfill compliant, but also our paper suppliers’ dedication to using sustainable, recyclable materials, and incorporating post-consumer waste products, like paper coffee cups, into their products. What’s next?
